The Unknown Hero – Concertina Book Parchment on Exhibition in Belgrade

In 2014, marking 100 years since the start of the First World War, I participated an amazing art exhibition in Belgrade organised for that occasion. Each artist was supposed to create a concertina book using a folded lamb parchment.

The final book was named “The Unknown Hero”, and it was dedicated to the soldiers whose graves were never found. Inspired by Serbian war medals, I made a concept in which it seems as Mother Nature had made medals for them, honoring their sacrifice.
